Warm & Glad

Natalie and I caught a lazy Saturday breakfast at the ever so quaint Warm & Glad (on Jan Smuts Avenue in Craighall Park).

What a treat. Their coffees are just what one needs on a cool Autumn morning in Jozi. The breakfast menu is simple and unpretentious, with a modest twist on some classic faves.  Big loves for this spot!

The baristas here sure know the way to a gal's heart. "There's a cat in me Flat White, sir!"

Natalie looking ever so pensive before brekkie.  I have a feeling she was just salivating over the delicious Scrambled Eggs, creamy Avo & crispy Parma ham she ordered.

In short this place is a must!

Pixel It

So after many months of procrastination I finally decided to make use of this glorious fabric.

It wasn't quite the stuff that I had in mind for this particular pattern. Many alterations were done and undone and then done again.

I'm still not quite as happy with the fit as I should be. I think the waistband does need to come down an inch or two...that can be tomorrow's battle.

Pixel This.

I am in love with this faux pixel fabric! I just cannot wait to create something wonderful with it!

My New Fave

I picked this little beaut up from Odd Deco.  And I absolutely love it!

Who Wears The Crowns? We Do!

Myself and a one Phil had our one and only crown birthdays.
We wore crowns. We had a kiki. It got merry and it got messy... and it was maaarvellous.

We're so damn dapper in our head gear.

Little Fish Gone Big Pond

On my birthday I made a big move.  I packed up about everything I own (who would have thunk it would all fit in the back of a Getz) and headed for the great city of Jozi!

It's been wild.  I flew up for an interview that I had on the Thursday, got the job 10 minutes later, flew back down to Durbs that Saturday and then drove up on the Monday.

One month later and it still hasn't sunk.
